The creators and supporters of PROTECT IP are now in the process of creating its sequel. They seem to never give up; they started with COICA and now, Senators will have to vote on the “Ten Strikes Bill”, next week. This new legislation would make it a felony to stream copyrighted content.

Minnesota’s Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) is the main sponsor for this legislation but Al Franken (D-MN) is providing her with full support. The people of Minnesota previously supported these Senators because of what these elected officials promised in regards to Internet freedom and Net Neutrality but hopefully the people convince these Senators to change their position concerning copyrighted content on the internet.
Instead of civil lawsuits, the entertainment industry wants the government to incarcerate people that embed and stream infringing content. Even the use of contents in a YouTube video can result in up to five years in prison.
